I’ve been told by someone I respect very much, about this venue and how good it is. He being Rob Grey attended your last event and with the sounds of it he will be a regular attendee, I hope to see this for myself on the Sept 18th so well done Lads nice to get told about a night like this, right up my street looking at the play lists .

Glad you enjoyed it, yes the new venue is brilliant. We are in the slightly smaller room next time but it wont make a difference to the music, then back in the bigger room for the rest of the year. Say hello next time, i've still got no idea who 'chapel end soulboy' is....

Six miles and six days

What a difference 6 miles and 6 days can make to the average soul fan. Bedworth last week, missed chico and mark randle, but caught sam evans and little scotty, might as well put a £5 hmv compilation on and sat in the car,dave thorley saved the night and mixed it up a bit with some different tunes,fluff finished off .......Fast forward 6 days later and 6miles down the road, what a revelation ! I could only stay a couple of hrs cos of saturday commitments, only about 35 bods in but this night is about quality not quantity. New venue,smaller room. heating!, ok, there were a few minor probs with the sound ,but ,a good tune is a good tune as jonny fingers proved £1000 disc followed by a £10 !

The gorgeous ms bleasdale, jonny fingers ,karl heard,and the local heroes ,with a line up like that how could this night not be a cracker.

well done to the move on team definately a winning format.

Cheers mate, it's just that some of the tunes were soooo good a bit of info wouldn;t go a miss. I thought the lady dj did a crackin spot.And the mix of RnB & SOUL was just right . As an aside i went to the bedorth civic the nite after and al'tho i like the co-op nite i thought the civic was just an average soul nite, even with scotty & sean chapman.

I agree mate, considering what we pay for the room they should be heating it more. Mind you it's getting warm outside now so that's not a problem. We'll chat more on the mic for you if you like, at least i will. Thanks for comments on the music, it means a lot. We just need a few more in to get some atmosphere and make it worth while. We might end up moving venues to a smaller one, but whatever happens we are dedicated to playing upfront soul. See you at the next one, say hello on the door.

10 bob for the heater ?

I know times are hard, but , couldnt somebody have found 10 bob to switch the heating on, on the 27/3 ?. I had to keep me harrington on and dance with me hands in me pockets to keep warm !. Also while i'm in whinging mode ,how about more selection of beer in the upstairs bar ? and some chat/ intro's from the jocks. Havin said that the tunes were absolutly effin awsome & with a few more bods in the place this could be THE soul place in the mids . KEEP ON MOVIN. ........C E S

Yes you can get to Coventry station by train, or Nuneaton station (although that might be a bit further away). Then it's a taxi ride to the venue i'm afraid. It's about 4 miles from Nuneaton station and probably 5 from Coventry station. It might be a few quid by taxi.It's right on the motorway though, we went for easy access by car travellers. Sorry.

Dancefloor looks great in the pics ..looks like a good match for the one at benn hall in rugby...cant wait for tonight!!!
