Move On Northern Soul!

Thanks to everyone who has supported our soul nights over the last two and a bit years. We will be back in the new year, keep an eye on Soul Source and Facebook for the new event and new venue details.

 Move On soul nights are run by Adam Topping and Matt Male. At our soul nights
 our aim is to play the very best in underplayed and forgotten northern soul.
 The emphasis is on uptempo 60s, rarities and underplayed oldies with a smattering of
other eras, but nothing is ruled out, so there's something for everyone. We don't
care if it's a £5 cheapie or a huge rarity, as long as it is quality dancable soul
music it will go on the decks.Just one rule though... Original Vinyl Only!

We only play original vinyl because this forces DJs to be inventive with their
spots without resorting to playing the current biggies or classic oldies off
boots or reissues. We don't buy the argument that dancers don't care about
the format. We're dancers and we'd rather hear a selection of different
sounds because the DJs are playing originals rather than the same fifty
boots and reissues played by every other local soul night DJ. We like
eclectic, vibrant and varied soul and if you come along we hope you will too.
